Overall Purpose of the Job
Responsible for dealing with hazardous and non hazardous waste management on site. To ensure high standards of waste management is performed on site as directed by your manager. To lead the on-site team of waste operatives.
Main duties and responsibilities
Be responsible for dealing with hazardous and non hazardous waste management on site ensuring that waste operatives conform to all site rules and procedures. Duties, not restricted to, are as follows:
- Service hazardous and non hazardous waste collection points throughout client site.
- Empty Non hazardous and Hazardous waste bins.
- Filling and use of the general waste compactor and use of Dry Mixed Recyclable compactor.
- Loading of curtainsiders and containers by use of Forklift.
- Completion of all ADR/IMDG paperwork for shipments of hazardous waste off site.
- Decanting of hazardous waste streams on site.
- Liaise with waste management vendors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in Environmental or Waste management desirable but not essential.
- Ability to demonstrate awareness of Health and Safety good practice in relation to cleaning procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understand safe working practices and health and safety legislation.
- Forklift training a distinct advantage.

Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30
Friday, 08:00-15:30
