Overall Purpose of the Job
Basic preparation of food and beverages, simple cooking, transporting and serving of meals, general Kitchen and Restaurant duties.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Maintain a willingness to learn & take direction from Kitchen Brigade in order to improve own skills levels
- Help in the supervision and control of all food and beverage items from the Kitchen, provide high quality food in all areas whilst adhering to principles of GP% and Costings.
- Ensure that the service of all meals is to the standard laid down by the Company and meets the Client’s specification and Head Chefs Standards.
- Control of raw materials and portions are to the Company’s standards as applicable.
- Complete and maintain all legislative paper work as required by law including the Foodspace Food Safety Manual.
- Maintain the Company standard of hygiene and safety and take any action as is necessary.
- Attend to all customer complaints and compliments within the guidelines and timeframes as laid down by the contract and Head Chef.
- Ensure that all deliveries are received and recorded as per company requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Recognised Professional Culinary Qualification or previous experience in a comparative Kitchen environment.
- Previous recent experience within a working kitchen.
- Knowledge of Kitchen Health & Safety Procedures and all Legislative Requirements.
- Stock Control.
- High Quality Food Production.
- Excellent communication skills.
