Overall Purpose of the Job
As a Chef de Partie working on a Client Site, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef/Sous Chef in the general running of a kitchen. Your role will involve working in a large fast paced and demanding kitchen environment delivering a high-quality customer experience.
Main duties and responsibilities
• Responsible for the consistent high-quality of food production.
• Showing enthusiasm into menus and bringing forward ideas.
• To be prepared to undergo any training deemed necessary for their role.
• Manage and control Waste according to building regulations.
• To understand the provisions, maintenance, and task systems necessary to keep a kitchen fully functional and the correct process that needs to be followed if something is inadequate.
• Ensures all food items are prepared and handled in a timely and sanitary manner while adhering to Health and Safety Guidelines.
• Ensuring that all stock levels are being maintained and stock rotation is in place.
• Good experience on the hot and cold lines and service.
• Has a positive attitude and is willing to adapt to new changes implemented from snr chefs.
• Follow cleaning and sanitation schedule.
• Perform additional job-related responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by upper management.
Qualifications and Experience
• Highly competent in food safety and HACCP, QQI Level 2
• 3 + years’ experience
• Professional appearance.
