Commercial Accountant
Location – South East (Homebased)
Hours – Monday – Friday, 08:30 to 17:00

We are seeking a Commercial Accountant to play a key role in driving financial performance and commercial insight across the business.
The Commercial Accountant will act as a strategic partner to key stakeholders across the business, providing clear analysis of financial data and KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting revenue growth and efficiency improvements.
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for reviewing contract performance, supporting bid reviews, managing cash flow, and driving continuous commercial improvement.
Key Responsibilities for Commercial Account include:
- Own and support the month-end close, ensuring timely and accurate management accounts and reporting.
- Provide clear financial analysis and insight to operational stakeholders to drive performance and margin improvement.
- Monitor and challenge contract-level financial performance and support commercial improvement initiatives.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, bid modelling, pricing strategies, and business case development.
- Review balance sheets and identify working capital improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, KPIs, SLAs, and commercial governance frameworks.
- Deliver KPI reporting, support invoicing processes, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Build strong relationships across finance, operations, and external partners, providing commercial guidance where required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven commercial finance experience, ideally within Integrated Facilities Management or a contract-based environment.
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of month-end processes, financial reporting, and contract profitability.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Navision, or similar).
- A collaborative, proactive, and problem-solving mindset.
- Valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle.

Salary for the role is £35,000 - £40,000 and will be dependent on experience.
