We are looking for a Engineering Technical Services Manager to join the Apleona Team in Dublin 14
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• To work as part of a team, and on an individual basis on own initiative, reporting directly to the Associate Director Technical Services
• To organise and control pre planned and reactive maintenance work on client sites on a wide range of Building Services systems and equipment.
• Preparation and delivery of Departmental budgets.
• Maintain efficiency of Technical Team and adherence to budget.
• Develop and deliver strategic improvement to service delivery.
• To manage the Mobile Technical Team Management Team and support roles. Provide line management leadership and accountability, conduct regular check ins with the Technicians
• Manage Mobile Technical Team Training requirements and organise training delivery.
• Develop and maintain Mobile Technical Team KPIs to track efficiency.
• Development SOPs as required to manage Mobile Technical Team activities.
• Assist in developing and administering Departmental budget.
• To consult and work with the site Health & Safety officers to ensure that all work is carried out safely and that all aspects of operator and contractor training are maintained and recorded;
• To co-ordinate and supervise the management of In House and on site contractor activities, including Risk assessments, Method statements.
• To implement and adhere to a Quality system for the management of procedures and documentation
• To liaise with specialist sub-contractors and engineers with other disciplines to ensure the efficient operation of plant / areas without disruption to the client.
• To conduct the operation of the service contracts in a pro-active manner so as to minimize difficulties with the building environmental systems and maximise commercial return to Apleona.
• To manage the delivery of day to day engineering maintenance services across multiple sites using In House technical staff and contractors.
• To liaise with the Clients or Contract Managers, particularly in relation to the planning and organisation of works that may affect the normal business activities of the site.
• To assist in obtaining Quotations / tenders for the remedial and project works.
• To maintain a comprehensive record of maintenance activities, particularly in respect of annual validation and certification of fixed equipment and systems.
• Mentor Line Managers and assist with talent development and succession planning.
Qualifications and Experience
• Highly motivated and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
• Flexible attitude to work and a sharp focus on safety, service delivery and quality.
• Must have a proven track record in the management of a team of maintenance technicians.
• Must have a proven track record in the overseeing of maintenance of detailed mechanical and electrical building services.
• Experience in the implementation of a Quality system for the management of procedures and documentation
• Must hold a recognisable engineering qualification or be able to demonstrate significant experience
• Experienced in the application and operation of Permit to Work systems. Computer literate, conversant with the major software packages, word processing, spreadsheets etc.
• Experience of working in a similar environment where reliance is placed upon individuals carrying responsibility for their actions
• Previous experience working in the Pharmaceutical environment an advantage.
• AutoCAD knowledge and experience an advantage
• Experienced in the use of Computerised Maintenance management systems.
