At Apleona, We are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for a Waste Operative to join our team at our facility in Limerick City.
Working pattern: Saturday and Sunday, 10pm - 9am
***Must be willing to work nights***
Main duties and responsibilities
▪ To service hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection points throughout the client site
▪ Empty Non-hazardous bins
▪ Filling and use of the general waste compactor
▪ Filling and use of the Dry Mixed Recyclable Compactor Baling of cardboard, plastic, and paper waste streams
▪ Loading of curtainsiders and containers by use of a forklift
▪ Completion of all ADR/IMDG paperwork for shipments of hazardous waste off-site
▪ Decanting of hazardous waste streams on site
▪ Completion of all relevant paperwork with regard to non-hazardous waste
▪ Other paperwork and admin duties
▪ Liaise with waste management vendors
▪ Salting of the car park over the winter months
Qualifications and experience
▪ Experience in Environmental or Waste management is desirable but not essential.
▪ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
▪ Understand safe working practices and health and safety legislation
▪ Well-organised and capable of prioritising own work
▪ Flexible, Honest and reliable
▪ Manual handling
▪ Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
