At Apleona, we are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for a Full-time Fitter/Welder to join our team at our facility in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork
Working Pattern: Mon-Thurs 07:00-15:30, Fri 07:00-14:30
Main duties and responsibilities
- Carry out preventative, and predictive maintenance of assigned equipment throughout the factory
- Carry out fabrication repairs for plant and machinery
- Troubleshoot issues on your assigned equipment
- Always maintain a high standard to Health & Safety
- Always ensure compliance with Health and Safety and legislative requirements
- Contribute to targets related to Safety, Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement
- Complete all required documentation accurately
- Proactively identify and remedy equipment maintenance issues, to maximise equipment uptime
- Maintain appropriate records in line with requirements
- Ensure all training is completed on time per client learning management system
- Must be willing to take on and familiarize with all relevant site systems and equipment as deemed necessary to complete the role
- Ensure that all work carried out is following all current regulations
- Immediately report any accident, incidents or near misses to you line manager or supervisor
- Where possible to provide shift cover as required by either the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
- You may be asked to work overtime to cover out of hours work as determined
- Take on ad hoc projects from time to time as deemed necessary by your line manager
Qualifications and experience
- Senior Trades qualification
- MS office computer skills required
- Proven track record in Preventative and Reactive Maintenance in a similar environment.
- Successful Time served apprenticeship completed (MAMF, Electrical, Fridge or toolmaking)
- Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
