    Procurement Category Manager – Soft Services

    Location – Motherwell, ML1 1RU

    Hours – Monday – Friday – 08:30 – 17:00

    As the Procurement Category Manager, you will lead, direct and manage category activities for your defined area of responsibility – Soft Services within Facilities Management.  This role will include developing and implementing strategies, establishing and managing contracts and cost base, managing relations, and driving continuous improvement and cost saving activities across all vendors.

    The Procurement Category Manager will develop and implement strategies to increase market competitiveness, and sustain ongoing category improvements.  You will also align defined categories to the overarching business and procurement strategy – one that focuses on partnerships and collaboration throughout the delivery chain from Clients to Apleona to Supply Chain Partner.

    • Knowledge of best practice procurement contract agreements and commercial mechanisms
    • Able to plan and assess risk management
    • Extensive project work experience
    • Facilities Management industry experience
    • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel Outlook and PowerPoint

     

    We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience gained in a similar role in the FM industry and ideally internationally, and will already have experience managing procurement category, with a strong background in Soft Services and project work.

    This is a full time role but you will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level.
