    Bid Manager - Facilities Management

    Location: London, E14 9NN

    Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

    We are looking for an experienced Bid Manager who will liaise with and provide support to the FM Leadership Team in winning new business and retaining key partners. You should be entrepreneurial in your approach, commercially astute with an ability to write a compelling solution aligning each bid to our company goals.  The post holder will have ownership of all bid proposals with both new and existing clients, leading these from arrival to submission. You will provide an accessible point of contact and source of bidding expertise for the company as a whole, this will include supporting the growth and retention of existing accounts.


    To be successful in this role you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organised and have good team management skills.


    Main Responsibilities of the Bid Manager will include:

    • Lead on new bids from concept through to close ensuring our offers are clearly articulated, cost estimate is adjudicated and signed off and final submissions are reviewed
    • Produce a compelling bid strategy and brief tender team
    • Take responsibility for down-selecting the right bids to along with our company’s goals and strategic aims
    • Oversee individual presentations to potential clients
    • Take responsibility for the quality of all aspects of the bid, including written documentation and presentations, ensuring that written work is clear, concise and compelling
    • Attend hand-over meeting briefing the team on tender bids
    • Work alongside our counterparts within International Business Development on pan European bids
    • Support the development of retention plans with the operational team.


    Our Ideal Bid Manager will need to have

    • Strong leadership skills, being able to work closely with key personnel across all areas of the business
    • Ability to deliver bids, projects and outputs to a high level of quality within stipulated timeframes
    • Knowledge of relevant FM sectors.
    • Knowledge and ability in Commercial and financial acumen.
    • Experience of working in a busy office environment (ideally Shared Service).
    • Knowledge of operational activity.
    • Experience and success at high level for project management.
    • Knowledge of sales tools, and successful sales and client relations skills to win new business.
    • Valid UK Driving Licence
    • Professional Qualification in FM or Business Member of a professional body would be desirable


    You will work Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 – 17:00 however you will need to be flexible to meet the requirements of the role.
