    HVAC Maintenance Technician

    Location – Gloucester, GL1 3NN

    Core Hours – Monday – Friday, 08:00 to 16:00

    We are currently seeking a HVAC Maintenance Technician. You will be working as part of a dedicated team and undertake the planned and reactive maintenance at our client premises at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

    As part of the role, you will:

    • To undertake the Planned Maintenance of the Building Engineering Services and equipment, to ensure compliance with the specification, PPM, Schedules and Procedures. 
    • To respond to reactive request to ensure clients’ systems are not prejudiced and to maintain the continuity of operation as far as practical circumstance will allow. 
    • To provide emergency call-out services on a rota basis which is 1 week in 6. 
    • To achieve a prompt effective response to emergency situations being capable to diagnose faults and initiating action to prevent deterioration in environmental conditions within the premises.
    • To conduct the operation of the contract in a pro-active manner so as to minimise difficulties with the building environmental systems.
    • To liaise with specialist sub contractors and engineers with other disciplines to ensure the efficient operation of the plant / area without disruption to the client. 
    • Any other duties as required by a position of this level within the organisation for which the individual is suitable / capable of.

    Our ideal Candidate will need to have:

    • NVQ Level 2 & 3 Plumbing & or Heating or Building services C&G
    • Ability to demonstrate good oral, written communication skills.
    • Experience in commercial or industrial maintenance services as well as the ability to multi task.
    • Valid UK Driving licence
    • Knowledge of implementing effective health and safety procedures.
    • Ability to use computers to intermediate level for word, excel and outlook.
    • BMS Systems
    • Hospital specific regulations


    • Experience in a similar Facilities Management role / or worked in a hospital environment

    We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience gained in a similar role. You will work 37.5 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level.
