    Kitchen Porter

    Location – Uxbridge, UB8 1DH

    Hours – Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week

    Are you dedicated to delivering great service and want to join a growing company that looks after its people? Have you got skills and experience in a catering role with a customer focused mind-set? If so then we have got the role for you.

    In this role you’ll ensure that high standards are maintained within the catering and events department by dealing with day to day food production, presentation and ensuring health and safety requirements are met at all times. You will assist with food service.

    As an kitchen porter you will assist with the smooth running of the day to day catering and hospitality services which will include hand washing dishes and using the dishwasher, basic food preparation, cleaning kitchen utensils, making sure all HACCP rules are followed, keeping all items stored neatly and safely, cleaning the floor, emptying bins, checking all equipment is in working order and reporting faults, and dealing with any complaints as they arise.  You will of course be willing to pitch in with any other duties to help your manager and team as required.

    Our Ideal candidate will need to have:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Physically able to lift heavy items (up to 15kg)
    • An understanding of health and safety in a catering environment
    • Great customer service skills
    • A great team player with a can do attitude
    • Great time keeping
    • Flexibility to support the team during absence and holidays etc.

    We’ll provide you with full training once you start and make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You may already have a food hygiene qualification, or experience gained in a similar role so please let us know in your application.
