    At Apleona, We are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for Driver/Maintenance Operative to be based in Newbridge, Co. Kildare

     

    Shift Pattern Monday - Friday 14 hours per week on average

     

    Main duties and responsibilities

    • Ensure availability and punctuality when requested to drive the residents to G.P., appointments, hospital, airport, train or bus station.
    • Be able to report back on any relevant data. Always attend to facilities requests
    • Undertake general tasks of all non-clinical areas of the facility, including offices, floors, corridors, stairwells and toilets ▪ Attend to painting work as scheduled
    • Stock the facility with all required items, organise necessary supplies and maintain all fixtures and appliances
    • Daily check of the maintenance book in the Nurse's Office
    • Monitor and manage all equipment within the facility, ensuring all inspections and maintenance are up to date
    • General housekeeping and cleaning around the building, and litter control
    • Inform the Supervisor/Manager of any issues within the building, and report and store lost and found items
    • Promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
    • Undertake other routine tasks such as hosing down the forecourt and dealing with recycling
    • Ensure all repairs are attended in the quickest manner to avoid disruption for the facility
    • Manage subcontractors if/when required, and all the work that needs to be carried out
    • Be aware, follow, apply and comply with all health and safety regulations
    • Wear any personal protective equipment (PPE) supplied – Safety shoes/glasses/high-vis vests or any other item of PPE identified by the client or risk assessment for that task
    • Full clean driver’s licence essential

     

    Qualifications and experience

    • Good working knowledge of English and a Clean driving licence
    • Knowledge and willingness to apply safe working practices
    • Knowledge of how to use the equipment necessary to carry out the assigned tasks
    • Knowledge of Principles of Chemical Safety
    • Previous experience working in a hospital or medical environment is desirable
    • Able to work autonomously but also to be able to work as part of a team
    • Able to take instructions and directions and complete tasks to the highest standard
    • Reliability, confidence, energy, trustworthiness, hardworking and discreet
    • Garda Vetting is required
