    Accounts Payable Team Leader

    Location – Motherwell, ML1 1RU

    Hours – Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 17:00pm

    Fixed Term Contract – 6 Months

    We’re currently looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Team Leader who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day processing within the team. You will be responsible for delegating and managing a team of assistants through a variety of tasks to ensure an efficient and effective invoicing service to all employees across the business. The individual in this role will be an effective leader who is committed to ensuring that the accounts payable function is delivered accurately and on time, in a professional and well-respected manner to the Accounts Payable Manager.

    As an Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will:

    • Day to day overview of the Accounts Payable Team by encouraging and inspiring to attain an important level of customer service, achievement, performance, and skill
    • Be a point of escalation for team members in query resolution
    • Ensure invoices are processed and managed proactively, resolving queries wherever possible
    • Review and support company expenses process, including weekly expenses payment runs for UK colleagues and fortnightly expenses payment runs for Ireland colleagues
    • Liaise with business to drive first time match and identify common issues and implement the necessary controls to remove
    • Ensure supplier statement reconciliations are performed on a regular basis on a sample of key/preferred suppliers each month
    • Allocate resource within their Accounts Payable team effectively, between each ‘company’ within their remit

    As an Apleona Accounts Payable Team Leader, we’re looking for:

    • Experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance position with leadership responsibilities
    • Experience on a financial system, ELO and Navision would be desirable
    • Desirable experience in UK and European VAT
    • Good communication skills
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Good Microsoft Office skills
