Overall Purpose of the Job:
The Cleaning/Caretaking is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within designated areas, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents/employees. They perform a variety of cleaning tasks and minor maintenance duties to uphold sanitation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Dust, sweep, vacuum, and mop surfaces in assigned areas, including living/working spaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and supply closets.
- Refill and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries, such as hand wash, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Wash kitchen napkins, floor rags, and dusters as needed.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning products and order new supplies when necessary.
- Take out the garbage regularly, ensuring proper disposal.
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks, including replacing displaced toilet seats and unclogging sinks.
- Conduct monthly disinfection and deep cleaning of designated areas.
- Ensure compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) and universal precautions for handling cleaning products.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cleaning or housekeeping.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety precautions.
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and products effectively.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve lifting and bending.
- Good organizational skills to manage cleaning supplies and schedules.
- Basic understanding of maintenance tasks.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm.
