    Overall Purpose of the Job

    The Centre Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Management Team in managing the daily operations of the Community Centres, including the supervision, development, and performance
    management of employees. Assigning duties to the Centre Team. He/she will assist the Centre Management Team to implement the Community Centre’s mission, to endeavour to provide a
    positive focal point for the relevant local community and to strive to meet the needs of the diverse local community in an inclusive way through the provision of space which supports the promotion
    of participation in sport, leisure, educational and recreational activities, whilst maximising the use of the Centres.

     

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    Tasks will include but not limited to:
    • Ensuring the smooth operation of the Centre and working with the Centre Management Team.
    • Act as point of contact for Centre Enquiries.
    • Supervise team and assign responsibilities.
    • Assist the Centre Management Team with the implementation of the Community Centres’ Business aims and objectives.
    • Ability to work on own initiative.
    • Flexibility in working hours. Be a key holder and responsible for opening and closing the Centre.
    • Excellent customer service and social skills. Excellent conflict resolution skills.
    • Responsibility to clearly and consistently uphold work standards for the team and Centre.
    • Ensure standards/procedures are adhered to and assist with developing and implementing new standards/procedures.
    • Ensure the facility is maintained and ensuring any out of line situations is rectified in a safe and timely manner. Organise and deal with subcontractors.
    • Organisational, financial and administration skills.
    • Must be computer literate, including good working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Experience in maintenance/updating of Websites and/or Social Media sites would be an advantage.
    • Must have excellent problem solving abilities and have the ability to resolve challenging situations in a calm, effective and timely manner.
    • Assist in induction/training and development of new team members.
    • Assist the Centre Management Team to meet/exceed budget requirements.
    • Develop good working relationships with clients, customers and staff.
    • Centre Attendant Duties.
    • Other duties as required.

     

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Previous supervisory experience desirable.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Must have fluent English.
    • Be computer literate.
    • Have a positive, friendly, outgoing disposition and display a ‘can do’ attitude.
    • Full driving license and own transport required as it may be necessary to work in more than one location.
    • Must have a proven work and attendance record

     

    Working Pattern

    Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM.
