    Main duties and responsibilities

    • Updating of drawings across various sites to ensure contract compliance. This will involve site visits to ensure that the drawings are reflective of the actual installation.
    • Ensure the project engineering work is completed in a compliant manner with regard to both execution and documentation.
    • Provide detailed project specifications, drawings, procedures, tender documents etc.
    • Design in health, safety and environmental best practice into each project and ensure that all project work is completed in a safe and environmentally friendly manner
    • Preparation of capital expenditure request and cost estimates, and monitoring of project spend
    • Manage Installation, Commissioning & Validation of Equipment as required
    • Supervision of contractors associated with project work.
    • Liaise with other departments and client as necessary
    • Ensure that project work is completed with minimal disruption and is fully integrated into the operational areas (incl. procedures, training, etc).
    • Implement BIM standards in Apleona and create drawings as required to the correct standard.
    • Support renovations, and upgrades of existing facilities
    • Ensure all drawings and associated project programmes are issued and up to date.
    • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, to budget, meet the client quality standards and have the required functionality
    • Establish and manage quality measures and procedures in conjunction with the Company to enable two-way communication, ensuring feedback and continuous improvement is achieved
    • Manage cost control and review costs with the objective of reducing subcontractor costs
    • Develop and deliver Service Level Agreements for each project and sub-contractor contract under their control
    • Ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures
    • Suggest and implement improvements and innovations in service delivery
    • Client satisfaction.
    • Effective sourcing and utilisation of materials and subcontractors.
    • Take on adhoc projects from time to time as deeded necessary by the Technical Services Manager
    • Maintain and review Preventive maintenance Plans and Procedures for Buildings and Utilities.
    • Ensure PM schedules are adequate and timely.
    • Ensure Quality compliance for all in house and contract maintenance activities.
    • Manage all Facilities Contracts and contractors, and maintain review process for contracts such as (Site security, waste management, janitorial cleaning, sprinkler systems, Plant alarm systems, CCTV, Thermographics, PATS testing, Di Water plants, Vibration analysis, Environmental, WWTP, pest control, Cleanroom balancing, requalifications and DOP testing, HVAC, Electricity, and Gas.) 
    • Provide support for EHS projects, EHS regulatory requirements and objectives.
    • Manage Facilities budget, and ensure compliance with financial forecasting process.
    • Drive Cost reduction initiatives and projects within facilities.
    • Manage building and utilities capital projects as they arise.
    • Responsible for energy management on site, and the identification and implementation of energy reduction and awareness programs.
    • Support the Coordination of office moves / desk allocations / space management.
    • Responsible for review and sign off of plant drawing change requests. 
    • Implement and manage predictive maintenance tools for facilities equipment where appropriate.
    • Manage site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Responsible for the provision of weekly / monthly reporting to the client
    • Assist with operations maintenance activities as necessary.
    • Take on adhoc projects from time to time as deeded necessary by the Client and / or Contract Manager
    • To be a self-performing technician and continuously strive for self-improvement. 
    • Ensure any training deemed necessary by your line manager is completed within the agreed timeframe
    • Maintain an internal ‘Best Practice’ regime and encourage continuous improvements
    • Provide relevant information to assist with the generation of reports 
    • Ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with all current regulations
    • Ensure that EHS procedures are adhered to at all times. Contribute to targets related to Safety, Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement.
    • Report of any accident, incidents and out of place findings to the client / line manager 
    • Maintain the workshop and maintenance stores areas in a tidy condition at all times
    • You may be asked to work overtime to cover out of hours work as determined by the Supervisor / client
    • Take on adhoc projects from time to time as deemed necessary by the client / Supervisor or representative

    The successful candidate must also hold:

    • Experience in an engineering environment in a related industry for at least two years will provide a good foundation for this job function.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Third level engineering qualification or equivalent
    • Experience in an engineering environment in a related industry for at least two years will provide a good foundation for this job function

    Working Pattern

    Mon to Thu - 8:00 to 16:30 & Fri - 8:00 to 15:30
